Jennifer S. Blalock, B.A., CVR
Jennifer, a Tarheel native, has been a freelance court reporter since 1992. Her reporting experience includes depositions in all types of civil litigation. Jennifer has provided transcripts on a pro-bono basis for Pisgah Legal Services. She is a nationally-certified court reporter, having earned the designation of Certified Verbatim Reporter (CVR) in 1994. For the past several years, Jennifer has served in leadership roles in professional organizations at both the national and state level. She is a former membership committee chair for the National Verbatim Reporters Association, and is past president and board member of the North Carolina Verbatim Reporters Association.
Jennifer has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with the distinction of being UNC-A's very first graduate from the (then) fledgling mass communications and broadcasting department. She is a member of the WNC Blue Star Mothers (having a son in the armed forces), a past Girl Scout leader and trainer, co-chair of the local Girl Scout council archives, a volunteer in veterans affairs, and an associate member of the Patriot Guard Riders. She lives in Asheville with her husband, Scott, and together they enjoy motorcycling and golf in their leisure time.
